I love, love, love this Derby party from Abby- so many thought-out details! She did a great job incorporating elements of the 'race for the roses.' Filing away for future Derby party inspiration!
this whole spread from Spruce designer Sarah's wedding. She, fiance, and 2 friends managed to cater the entire wedding themselves! I love the limited bar menu on the chalkboard, as well as the homespun cheese setup. (via style me pretty)
to be strolling through trees draped with lanterns. I clipped this photo from Marie Claire awhile back and cannot, unfortunately, credit the photographer (please let me know if you know!). But I do love it.
I'm usually a lover of graphic, symmetrical floral arrangements, but Anna Bond has turned me on to these gorgeous eclectic flowers from Saipua. What a feast for the eyes!
I've been smitten with I am Baker's polka dot party ever since spotting it on Project Wedding. SO many readers write in looking for advice on how to dress up a more generic-themed party and I can't think of a better set-up to look to for inspiration. Brightly colored dots adorn everything- cake, vases, napkins. I think you could take it a step further by doing circular lanterns in a coordinated palette, table confetti, and maybe a circular invitation to set the tone. For a more streamlined look, you could produce this look in a single color.
Former food stylist for Martha Stewart, Heidi Johannsen Stewart, has opened a tea shop in London. How divine! Stay tuned to Bellocq for more beauty in the future.
Learning Spanish has long been on my list of things to do. Fiestas y Cumples makes me want to move that goal to the top of my list! So much beautiful party inspiration, so little understanding of the descriptions. Fortunately- beautiful party photos translate to any language. Check out all the beauty right here.
Reader Amy is looking for rainbow-themed ideas for an upcoming birthday party- decor, activities, etcetera. I love these two rainbow items from The Small Object. I think some activity that involves a treasure hunt to find a pot of gold would be cute, too. Do you have any great ideas for her?
Oh J. Crew crewcuts, how I do adore your styling! I can hardly concentrate on the clothes with all the cute props (great inspiration for a circus party, or really, any other party!).
