sunday supper club

We had our supper club over last Sunday evening, for a change of pace (we usually get together on Saturdays). Though some were concerned that the mood would be dampened by a 'school night' gathering, it turned out to be a lovely way to start a week. Do you ever have Sunday get-togethers?

I fondly remember Sunday evenings (when I lived in NYC), with girlfriends, huddled around the TV watching the latest Sex and the City.

I remember huddling around the tele for the Sex and the City final ep, with the girls. Those were the days. Not too long ago, but too long ago. :)

When I had young children, Sunday dinners with other families, early, were the absolute best.

We always gathered together with our friends Sunday evening for dinner. In fact it was at one of those gatherings that I met my husband!

hello. I'm a big fan of your blog but am a rather quiet reader. Just wanted to let you know that I am always inspired. Also, I would love to send you photos from my daughters 2nd birthday party... not sure what your email address is or whether you even accept photos. My email is lucymurch@gmail.com

thanks so much.

*correction: I'm always inspired by your blog... not just "always inspired" as it read in my last comment.

beautiful photograph. Sunday dinners are a great way to begin a scattered week of lists and agendas- little time for reflection and peace of a meal spent together.

Although I don't have children, my husband and I often gather with friends on Sundays. We take turns hosting and each person brings a dish to pass. The main course is usually prepared by the group while we snack on cheese and olives. This is one of my favorite ways to spend Sunday evenings!
