bon voyage, summer...

When my high school babysitter informed me yesterday that it would be her last day- school is resuming next week- I felt panic for many reasons! Not only had I lost my one day to be able to go out and be a normal non-thrown-up-on adult, but I had lost summer as well! Where, or where, did it go?

I've been holding on to some images I have been meaning to post as summer favorites, yet somehow the time has gotten away from me. I shall bid adieu to a wonderful season, with these...

from top: This post could also be named 'chelsea, chelsea, chelsea'...top, 3rd photo from top, and bottom photo from favorite blogger and stylist Chelsea Fuss. Beach ball decor and fireflies (those are fake fireflies 'trapped' in a mason jar- very clever, I thought) via Notes on a Party, done by Swank Productions. i share your feelings about the end of summer - i don't want it to end! summer is definitely my favorite season and i remember that feeling of an endless summer stretching ahead of me when school got out. *sigh*
now the stores are full of back to school items and halloween decorations so it is hard to avoid reality. school starts next week!
thanks for the inspiration!

Oh my! My face is red. Thanks for the link.It all means a lot coming from you!!

I feel the same way about summer. I still need to go camping and do more swimming and spend more time at the beach. It can't be over already!!

I think it is ironic how as moms we like to get a break from our kids to feel like a normal adult. I would sure hate to be one of those normal adults that doesn't get to spend everyday with their kids. I do the same thing though...just want to be a normal adult for a day.

I was really inspired by the images in this post. I've linked it to the MyPunchbowl party planning blog.

I can't believe summer is almost over!
