true love

My sweet husband fought off his brothers and was able to wrangle me some delicious Thanksgiving leftovers- quite a feat! Wishing you good food and a happy Thanksgiving weekend.

reader question of the week

reader question of the week:

"I spend Thanksgiving with my husband's extended family, and I'm not much of a cook so I never really contribute anything to our meal.  This year, I offered to make place cards and maybe a few other decorative items, and the host is thrilled (plus I'm glad to finally be contributing something).  I won't have a lot of time to set up when we arrive for the holiday, so I am hoping to come up with a few cute ideas that will travel well and be easy to throw on the table before everyone arrives.  I am a graphic designer so I don't have any problem designing/printing things, but I wanted to see if your readers had any ideas for adding some festive "Thanksgiving-y" touches on a small budget.  Thank you! -Brooke"

thanksgiving pretties

For my Party reader interested in Thanksgiving ideas, I direct you to two sources:

1) Eddie Ross' blog for flea-market inspired table setting.
2) Domino has a festive centerpiece gallery filled with awesome ideas (above are some excerpts).

I am off for a long weekend! Have a great one.
