'how tweet it is' baby shower

I'm the first to admit I can't get enough of bird-themed parties! So I loved when this 'how tweet it is' baby shower popped into my inbox. You won't want to miss all the 'tweet' details at nickandkaysi.

tweet, tweet

A friend mentioned she's looking for bird inspiration for a charity event table...and given that it is one of my all-time favorite 'themes', I couldn't resist. Some favorite birds above.

birdcage beauty

How perfect is this cupcake tower/cake? I'm in love! So very sweet for a 1st birthday, but would be perfect for a wedding (or any other occasion for that matter), as well!

birds + branches

I loved birds way before they were 'trendy' and I have a feeling I will continue to love them when they are out of fashion as well. Birds will always remind me of my dear grandmother, who knew the name of every bird imaginable. That's why I'm loving all of the great bird + branch combos I've seen pop up. ann wood

I have been obsessed with Ann Wood's gorgeous creations for some time now. However, I can't figure out what kind of occasion can justify a purchase. The birds make great cake toppers- and while a wedding is an obvious choice (except I'm already married), I'm trying to think outside the box...an anniversary party? maybe a single one for a baby shower? The expense makes me feel as though it would need to have multiple uses. I'm definitely not the only one who is a fan. Ann's creations usually sell out the same day they are listed in her etsy store. For those who are interested, her website states that she is now only taking limited orders, so plan ahead!
