I love this account of a private party, held for the highest J. Crew card-charging clients in Manhattan. Excerpt: "the all-male catering staff wore white button-down shirts with jeans and tennis shoes. They were also wearing the same ties (seen above), in a red and navy combination."

And on a personal note, I've got three events at our house in the next two days, so I might have to make myself scarce until next week! Thank goodness for Ina Garten, many of her recipes are getting me through the festivities...
