I love how Erika has taken a very traditional (circus) theme and done something really unique with it . The silhouette of her daughter Mila 'balancing' on a rope is a great twist on the technique, and a dress-up/staging area for Mila's guests' portraits is really creative as well. More here!

I have to admit the circus gives me the creeps a bit. But I really love all the vintage-inspired circus parties that keep popping up (fun typography, great colors, etcetera), that seem to have a 'carnival' feel. I couldn't resist this cute one, particularly with an awesome last name to boot. More here.

Australian mom, Cassie, threw this circus bash for her son's birthday. She got some help from 'Partee Petit', a company that helps pull together birthday parties. So many creative ideas to borrow! The clown cake is cute without being creepy, and all the fun carnival games and festive decor are just perfect.

scarlet's circus birthday party

This very clever circus party came to me via Jaime, thrown to honor her adorable daughter's first birthday. So many fun details to gobble up, including the invitation... which shouldn't be missed! Her sweet daughter was born on April Fool's Day, and so of course- the invitation was in the guise of an IRS audit letter (see it here). Even better were the responses she received! But now back to the party... check out the popcorn machine, the oh-so-lovely cake and cookies, and all the scrumptious colors. Lots more here.
