Reader question of the week #1:
"I'm throwing my youngest son an alter ego party (instead of the more popular superhero theme). With the premise that we are all heroes and have our own super powers. Thus no capes, masks or the obvious costumes. Instead, come as your alter ego. I have already booked a photographer who will set up booths to take pictures of the kids and render it as meta-humans with the magic of photoshop! any other ideas would be appreciated. Centerpieces? decor? invite ideas? Thanks! -Chip"

i would definitely be on the look out for things that transform double sided paper, etc. maybe even transform the decor during the party, like flip everything around from an unassuming design to a more brightly colored celebratory looking setting?
i am also thinking that maybe the food can change, like how lik-m-aid changes colors as you eat it.
Invites could be a play on the superman under a business suit theme. outer paper folded over to look like a jacket and inner invite dressed like your son's alter ego.
