french eye candy

I'm feeling like a bit of a party pooper this evening. My 'big gift' for the holiday was a couple of evenings with a night nurse who would take our sweet but colicky baby for 8 hours while I blissfully slept through the night. I had everything prepared and my Ambien in hand when she knocked on the door to say she couldn't stay- she felt like she was coming down with the flu. Such a bummer!

Alas- back to work and the night shift. In the meantime, I am procrastinating by perusing yet another beautiful French blog. Check out all of the gorgeous images right here (and if your high school French is better then mine, you just might be able to try out the recipes at home).

Great links!! You inspired me to seek out more French blogs. I'm also using my high school French to (poorly) translate a macaron recipe book I got in Paris. Hopefully you have a rain date on your good night sleep!

Oh, that sounds like such a bummer. As the mother to a screamed-for-four-whole-months baby (now FOUR!), I know how much you must need some rest. I just wanted to offer some words of encouragement and let you know how much I enjoy, and APPRECIATE, your blog. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Oh my! My heart just sank for you when I read the night nurse had to leave!! My youngest was colicky as well and we splurged and had a night nurse...I'm embarrassed to say...for about 2 months!! But it was well worth it. The relief I felt when she came the first night was such a great feeling. So, I know how you felt that night!

you know you can use google toolbar to translate the French to English...it's not perfect and you still have to convert the metric to standard units...but it sure is a lot easier than trying to decipher French:)
