I love this mish-mash tangle of lanterns and garlands...spotted on DesignSponge's 'daybed pallet makeover'. Apparently all supplies came from Martha Stewart's party line at Walmart. Could be great for everyday room decor (as shown), or as a festive addition to your party!
This is FABULOUS! I'm wanting to do something similar with a bunch of white lanterns I've fashioned to look like baseballs for an upcoming baby shower. Do you {or anyone} have tips for hanging them from the ceiling?
I was planning on using tissue pom poms for my little girl's party. My only question -- how do you hang them from your ceiling without 1) damaging your ceiling, 2) it being really ugly.
I just use push pins- the hole is usually barely visible once removed. I don't have any magic tips though- most anything else I've tried (that is less 'damaging') isn't sturdy enough to hold the decor up.

I love paper lanterns as permanent fixtures/decor as well - especially in a child's room. they are so cheery!!

I had no idea Martha Stewart had a party line at Wal-Mart! I adore this look of all the lanterns together. And yes, it IS like flowers on a ceiling.
