Thanks to the divine Miss M. for making sure I saw this one...I was just thinking about NieNie the other day! For those of you who don't know- NieNie was in a terrible plane accident with her husband last year, suffered horrible burns, and is still in the process of recovery. A mother to four children, she's got quite a full plate. But her house is full of love- you can tell that from all of her entries, and she's got a five-star husband that supports her in every way. So she has lots to celebrate, and did so on her 28th birthday. I pulled a couple of favorites from the celebration, but there are many more right here. Her 'story' is addictive, and I recommend you tune in if you are ever feeling down. This woman is an inspiration- and in this case, so is her birthday party!

Seriously. This party makes me so happy! What a celebration - she deserves it all and so much more. :)
It's a lovely party- but i really do despise this trend of "let's all release balloons for a pretty picture!" It's more pollution that we don't need in our oceans!!

hi MJ- I share your sentiments on balloons. But given this woman's situation I'm giving her a break! but yes- balloon release (most of the time) is bad, bad, bad in my book but (unfortunately) oh-so-pretty. But I promise you won't see any butterfly or dove releases here- apparently those are *really* bad for the animals.
