on the way out the door...

Some pressies on their way out the door:

1) a baby book shower gift: The Giving Tree wrapped in Target gift wrap. The paper reminded me of the apples on the tree, with ruler ribbon vaguely referencing the story of the boy growing up and the passage of time (yes, I'm reading way too much into the ribbon).

2) A cd I made for some friends who are considering a move to the 'ville with city- inspired tunes.

Hi Sara,

I just wanted to say hello and that after finding your blog a week ago, I'm already addicted!

I couldn't believe it when I saw this post as my husband and I are in the process of moving to Nashville!! (We're life long New Englanders, so it's quite a change) I actually just put him on a plane about an hour ago to fly to a second interview.

If you have any Nashville advice, let me know! :)

So exciting! Nashville seems like such a small town at times, but I'm so glad we're starting to become a bit more cosmopolitan and attracting a more diverse crowd (the fact that we just got an Anthropologie and West Elm this year, speaks to how small it is!). I'm hoping to do some Nashville-focused posts from time to time, so be on the lookout for those. And if you have any questions as you get settled, feel free to email me at hickspapergoods(at)yahoo(dot)com. -shm
